We have been partnering with CDC since 2016 with their adopt a school program. We have enjoyed doing what we can to encourage teachers, staff and students at Georges Vanier Elementary School. Every year we help with their back to school kick off event, supervisor and busing for sports days as well as making sure every child receives a gift at Christmas. We also have been helping many of their families with food hampers both at Christmas and at the end of the year.
Since the beginning of Covid in April, we have been partnering with CDC in multiple different ways. They have used our campus facilities to prepare and distribute over 600,000 meals to families in Surrey. We have also been able to help CDC by providing food storage on campus, room to store their dental truck over the summer in a secure lock up as well as offering them the use of discounted office space at our CC2 Campus. We are thrilled to be able to partner with them and to share the amazing resources we have here at Horizon Church.
